A Present for You

As a kid, the songs that I sang at church or in Sunday school stuck in my head. Honestly, I can still tell you the books of the Bible (from a song), the Fruit of the Spirit (from a song), and various passages of scripture all from music. They were an earworm for days at a time. I learned some pretty decent doctrinal truths from those songs. (I also learned some not so great theology, too.)

Regardless, it is a well known fact that kids learn and absorb information through music. In fact, I think that’s a pretty big part of their development. That’s why another piece of curriculum development that we are hoping to explore more of at The Meeting House is how we can create some great kid-friendly music that can accompany our curriculum (that doesn’t drive parents insane).

For Christmas this year, we thought we’d give you this gift: a song for you and your kids to sing along to together. It will be available for download on iTunes and Spotify in the new year, but we wanted to give you the very first listen, and just in case you do want to sing along, here are the words.

Download the song on iTunes or Spotify.

J-E-S-U-S

J-E-S-U-S… YES!

J-E-S-U-S means that God’s the best

He shows us God is love

J-E-S-U-S means that God’s the best

He shows us God is love
