Different: Our Story Continues…

Our Story Continues is our way to connect parents to what kids are talking about and experiencing in the Sunday morning teaching. We want to help to equip parents and spiritual parents with Scripture, talking points, and experiential activities to continue to disciple their kids well every day of the week.

KIDS

GRADES 1-5
Summary: This week in kidmax, kids learned that when we can’t just say we follow Jesus, we need to actually follow him!
Series: JAMES | Living it
Big Idea: Living for Jesus means living in a different way.
God Story: James 1-2
Key Verse: “You are God’s chosen people. You are holy and dearly loved. So put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proud. Be gentle and patient.” Colossians 3:12

  1. READ James 1:22-25. Ask: what do you think this means? How does God want us to live? When is it hard to do?
  2. WATCH the video teaching below with your family this week.
  3. TALK about the video as a family. What stood out to you? What did you like? What did you want to ask a question about? (Tip: If it’s helpful, consider pausing the video as you watch it together, and ask questions or talk about things that stick out to you as you go!)
  4. Check out the midweek activity page!
