Holy Spirit: Our Story Continues…

Our Story Continues is our way to connect parents to what kids are talking about and experiencing in the Sunday morning teaching. We want to help to equip parents and spiritual parents with Scripture, talking points, and experiential activities to continue to disciple their kids well every day of the week.

Preschool

1-YEAR-OLDS

Series: Good News!
Summary: In this series, children will learn what really is the Good News of Jesus.
Big Idea: The good news is we can be with Jesus forever.
Key Verse: “Tell the Good News to everyone.” | Mark 16:15b (ICB)

2-3 YEAR-OLDS

Big Idea: God sent the Holy Spirit to help us follow Jesus.
God Story: Acts
Key Verse: “Christ suffered once for sins. The one who did what is right suffered for those who don’t do right. He suffered to bring you to God.” | 1 Peter 3:18

  1. READ Acts 2:1-4. Take time to show your child how to look up a passage in the Bible. Show them how to navigate books, chapters, and verses. Ask your child: What was happening? What do you think that would have been like?
  2. WATCH the video teaching below with your family this week. Talk about the video as a family. What stood out to you? What did you like? What did you want to ask a question about? (Tip: If it’s helpful, consider pausing the video as you watch it together, and ask questions or talk about things that stick out to you as you go!)
