Prisoner: Our Story Continues…
Our Story Continues is our way to connect parents to what kids are talking about and experiencing in the Sunday morning teaching. We want to help to equip parents and spiritual parents with Scripture, talking points, and experiential activities to continue to disciple their kids well every day of the week.

Grades 1-5
Summary: In this series, kids will follow the story of Joseph from the beginning of his life through until he is reconciled with his family. Kids will see the way in which God is at work through the life of Joseph. This week, kids learned how God can partner with us anywhere, like when he partnered with Joseph while he was in prison.
Series: Genesis | Joseph
Big Idea: God can partner with us anywhere.
God Story: Genesis 40-41:36 | The Prisoner
Key Verse: We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him. | Romans 8:28
- READ Genesis 41:15-16. Take time to show your child how to look up a passage in the Bible. Show them how to navigate books, chapters, and verses. Ask your child:What happens before this? What happened after? What did Joseph say that is important for us to remember, too?
- WATCH the video teaching below with your family this week. Talk about the video as a family. What stood out to you? What did you like? What did you want to ask a question about? (Tip: If it’s helpful, consider pausing the video as you watch it together, and ask questions or talk about things that stick out to you as you go!)
